| Recruiting Report: Knowledge is Power...and Speed! |
They say "speed kills" and if it's true Penn State is assembling one heck of a deadly recruiting class. This time the Lions have added Knowledge Timmons, a 5'10", 174 lb., 4.35/40 athlete from York (William Penn), PA who just committed to Penn State this afternoon. Our own Tom McLaughlin was in attendance of Knowledge's press conference where he picked the Nitts.

| My Opinion: Class Recruiting Class...Again |
 by Mark Harrington
Take a moment and think back to this time last year. There was a buzz in the air with the Class of 2008 that they were going to be a unique, special class. Not so much because of their talent, sure you had national 'blue chips' in the class like Dan Connor, Greg Harrison and at the last minute, Anthony Morelli, but more because of the comradery and maturity of the young men. Greg committed in April and immediately stepped up to help recruit players with his future teammates like Dan Connor, Wyatt Bowman and Mark Rubin. Well, we may have thought that this was a rare class, but it seems that the Class of 2009 is picking up where the Class of 2008 left off and is using a similar style and approach to attract talent.

| Recruiting Report: Derrick Williams Picks Penn State! |
There is nothing like a little hype and anticipation to stir up the Nittany Nation and nothing serves as a bigger stirring spoon than football recruiting. In recent years we've seen it with prospects like Dan Connor, Chad Henne, Anthony Morelli, Jordan Steffy and Justin King. These guys are just a few of the blue chips who have put us in similar situations; collectively holding our breaths until the hat or jersey is put on. This time the eyes of Dear Old State were focused on Derrick Williams, the 6’0”, 189 lb., 4.31/40 wide receiver from Greenbelt (Eleanor Roosevelt HS), MD who in the end selected the Nittany Lions because he was looking for "honesty, loyalty, trustworthiness and a man who has character."

| Recruiting Report: Lions Land NJ DB |
The recruiting flood gates are still wide open for the Nitts who earlier this week received their forth commitment in so many days. This time the Lions got the nod from Anthony Scirrotto, a 6'1", 185 lb., 4.40/40 defensive back from Westville (West Deptford), NJ.

| Recruiting Report: Sean Lee Picks Penn State |
When it rains, it pours and the Lions are certainly enjoying the recruiting monsoon they have been in lately! The Nitts have reportedly picked up yet another star Pennsylvania prospect in Sean Lee, a 6'3", 217 lb., 4.55/40 running back/defensive back from Pittsburgh (Upper St. Clair), PA. Sean carried 120 times for 886 yards, a 7.3 yards per carry average, and has scored 16 touchdowns this past season.

| Recruiting Report: CT DB Joins Class of 2009 |
When it rains, it pours! Such is the case with Penn State getting two back-to-back commitments, first with James McDonald and now with Willie Harriott, a 5’10” 180 lb., 4.4/40 cornerback from New Haven (Hyde Leadership HS), CT. The Nittany Lions were the first to host the shutdown cornerback prospect and were battling Virginia Tech, Connecticut and Syracuse for Willie's services in the secondary in coming years.
